About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install MineColonies in Minecraft 1.16.4. What is MineColonies 1.16.4? Well, MineColonies is an interactive building mod that allows you to create your own town in Minecraft. This done by placing down building blocks and then moving them around with the Structurize mod, which is required for MineColonies to work.
You start out building a supply ship or camp, and then, you can continue expanding and growing from there adding in warehouses, living areas, fishing huts, blacksmiths, and so much more. There are also NPCs that go along with these buildings that will actually do things like mine and fish for you. Overall MineColonies is a really cool town mod for Minecraft 1.16.4. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to get MineColonies in Minecraft 1.16.4!
The first step of getting MineColonies 1.16.4 is actually downloading and installing Forge. You can find our in-depth tutorial for getting Forge in Minecraft in the description above. It goes over every single step of getting Forge, and even some of the issues you may have when install Forge 1.16.4 for MineColonies.
Once you have Forge installed, it is time to learn how to download MineColonies in Minecraft 1.16.4. You can find the official MineColonies download link in the description above. When you click that link, it will take you to MineColonies download page. When you are there, look at the right-hand side and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see a version of MineColonies for 1.16.4. Click the purple download button to the right of this version. MineColonies will start downloading, and you will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
You aren’t complete finished yet. You still need to repeat the above download process for the ‘Structurize Mod’, which is also linked in the description above.
After you have MineColonies and Structurize downloaded, it is time to go over how you can install MineColonies in Minecraft 1.16.4! Luckily, this is pretty easy. Just hit the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time to open up the ‘Run’ application on your PC. In the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%, and hit enter. This will open up your Roaming folder. In this video folder, you will find a ’.minecraft’ folder. Open that, and you will find a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, create one! Finally, to install MineColonies in Minecraft 1.16.4 drag-and-drop MineColonies and Structurize into this folder. They are now installed.
You aren’t complete done just yet though. You still need to open the Minecraft Launcher, click the little arrow next to the Play button, select the ‘Forge’ profile, and click Play. When you do that, Minecraft 1.16.4 will open up with the MineColonies mod installed!
