So, without any more delay, here is how you can add Vault to a Minecraft server and use EssentialsX with it.
First off, what is Vault? Well, #Vault is a permission, chat, and economy API that gives plugins easy hooks for these systems without needing to depend on all of the plugins themselves. Vault is a super easy to system/API to use, and because of this, it is used by pretty much all of the top plugins out there for hooking into your economy. That is why so many plugins require Vault to run on your #Minecraft server. If a plugin is using your economy or in some cases permissions system, it needs Vault to do it!
Now that you know what Vault is on a Minecraft server, how can you install it? Well, the first step is downloading the Vault #Plugin. You can find official download page for Vault in the description above. When you are there, click the blue ‘Download Latest File’ button in the top right in order to start Vault downloading. You will probably need to keep/save Vault depending on your browser.
After you have Vault downloaded, it is super simple and easy to install Vault on a Minecraft server. Just open up your Minecraft server’s main folder, open up the plugins folder, and drag-and-drop Vault into this plugins folder. If you don’t have a plugins folder, that is because you don’t have a Bukkit, Spigot, or Paper Minecraft server. You must have one of these server types or one of their forks in order to installing Vault on a Minecraft server.
It is also worth mentioning you will need a plugin that uses Vault as well. In this tutorial, we are going to be using EssentialsX, but any Vault required plugin will work. After you have Vault added to your Minecraft server’s plugins folder, restart your server. When it boots back up, Vault will be installed! There aren’t any commands to go along with Vault really. In truth, it is just added to your Minecraft server in order to use the commands and features of hundreds of other Minecraft plugins all linked together through this one plugin.
