Our goal with this is video is that you leave know exactly how to get WorldEdit in Minecraft 1.18.1. That includes downloading WorldEdit 1.18.1 from the official download page, installing it in Minecraft 1.18.1 with Forge, and getting a World Edit wand to start actually using WorldEdit. Let's jump right on into it!
First, we will need to learn how to download World Edit 1.18.1. You can find a link to do this in the description above. That link is actually going to take you to our text tutorial for how to install World Edit. On our website, just scroll down and click the green ‘Download World Edit’ button. This will take you to the official WorldEdit 1.18.1 download page on CurseForge. On this page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the Minecraft 1.18 section. Under this, click the orange download button on the 1.18.1 version to start downloading WorldEdit! You will then need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
Once WorldEdit is downloaded, you can move on to downloading and install Forge for 1.18.1. Luckily, we have a complete guide on how to get Forge linked in the description above. It will show you every single step of downloading, installing, and setting up Forge for WorldEdit. It even goes over some of the issues you may have getting Forge.
After you have Forge setup, we can go over how to install World Edit in Minecraft 1.18.1. Since you have WorldEdit downloaded already, we need to open up Minecraft with Forge. With Forge opened up, you can click on the ‘mods' tab from the Minecraft main menu. Then, in this menu, click on the 'Open Mods Folder' button in the bottom left. With this open, you can drag-and-drop WorldEdit into this mods folder. It's that easy to install World Edit for 1.18.1!
You aren't completely done though. WorldEdit will not appear until you restart Minecraft. Just make sure you open it back up with Forge. When you do, you can select the mods tab to see WorldEdit 1.18.1 installed! You can now jump into Minecraft and use the //wand command to get a World Edit wand. Select two points with it, and you can use WorldEdit's commands to change things in those points. With World Edit, you can replace blocks, copy and paste blocks, and even use brush like tools to paint blocks in Minecraft. World Edit also allows you the use of schematics. All in all, World Edit is a great tool for Minecraft, and one of the best mods out there.
