Truthfully, modded Minecraft is something that everyone should play in 1.18.1. Thus, let’s jump right on into how to download mods for Minecraft PC 1.18.1!
The very first step of getting 1.18.1 mods is actually downloading and installing Forge. Forge is the mod loader that has the most Minecraft mod compatibility. It also has some of the largest and most in-depth Minecraft mods. That means mods like Biomes O’ Plenty, Journey Map, and MrCrayfish Furniture Mod can only be installed with the Forge Mod Loader. After you have Forge installed, we can move to how to download mods for Minecraft PC 1.18.1. You can find a link to three mods in the description above that we will be installing in this video. The truth is though that any 1.18+ mod that is for the Forge Mod Loader will work using the methods that we use to install the mods in this video.
To download the mods above, just click on the links. You will then be taken to our website, where you click the yellow download button. For this video, we are installing MrCrayFish’s Furniture Mod, JourneyMap, and Just Enough Items. After you have clicked the download button on our website, you will be take to CurseForge. This is where mods Minecraft 1.18.1 mods will be downloaded from. On CurseForge, look at the right side of your browser and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.18’ section. Under this, you will see the 1.18+ versions of the mod you want. Make sure you are downloading the Forge 1.18.1 version if there are multiple listed. Click the orange button next to the version you want, and your mod will start downloading after a few seconds. You can now keep or save the mod depending on your browser.
With your mod downloaded, we can start going over how to install mods for Minecraft PC 1.18.1. First off, you will need to open up Minecraft with Forge. There should be a Forge installation, but if there isn’t, go watch our Forge tutorial to see how to get one. Once you have Minecraft opened up with Forge, click on the ‘mods’ button on the main menu.
