About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to add X Ray to Minecraft 1.16.2 using the XRay Ultimate texture pack. Because we are using an X Ray texture pack, there is no modding, no Forge, and nothing really complicated about getting X Ray in this way for Minecraft.
Before we get into this tutorial though, I do want to mention that using XRay on a Minecraft server in 1.16.2 will get you banned. We do not recommend using XRay on a Minecraft server, and again, you will get banned on 99% of servers if you do use XRay. Also, XRay Ultimate is best when used with Optifine. While not required, you can find our Optifine tutorial linked in the description above if you do want it. However, without any more delay, here is how to add XRay to Minecraft 1.16.2!
First things first, we need to learn how to download XRay on Minecraft 1.16.2. To do this, click the link in the description above. This will actually take you to our website where you will see a yellow ‘Download XRay Ultimate’ button. Click that, and you will be taken to the official XRay resource pack download page. Look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Click the purple download button to the right of the version listed here to download your XRay resource pack.
Now, we can get the resource pack installed. This is super easy. Just open up Minecraft, click on ‘Options’, click on ‘Resource Packs’, and click ‘Open Pack Folder’ in the bottom right. This will open your resource pack folder. To install XRay in Minecraft 1.16.2, just drag-and-drop your XRay Texture Pack into this folder.
When you come back to Minecraft, you will see the XRay Ultimate pack in your ‘Available Resource Pack’ section. Hover over it, and click the arrow that points to the right to move it to the select packs section. Now, click ‘Done’. X Ray will now install in Minecraft 1.16.2! Be sure to turn off smooth lighting for the best results.
