The first step of getting resource packs in Minecraft 1.16.2 is downloading them. You can find a list of 15 incredible 1.16.2 texture packs in the description above. All of these have been tested in 1.16.2 by us and are confirmed to work even if they aren’t for this specific version of Minecraft. You can download these by clicking the green download buttons on this page. However, from there each pack’s download experience is a bit different.
After you have your resource packs downloaded, it is time to install them. Luckily, installing texture packs in Minecraft 1.16.2 is very easy. Start by opening up Minecraft 1.16.2. Then, click on ‘Options’, and click on ‘Resource Packs’. Here you will be able to see all of the resource packs you have installed and available as well as all of the resource packs you have selected.
To add a resource pack to Minecraft 1.16.2, click on the ‘Open Resource Pack Folder’ button in the bottom left of Minecraft. This will open the resource pack folder. Now, drag-and-drop any texture packs that you want to install into this folder. You will then be able to go back to Minecraft, and you will see the resource packs you have added to Minecraft here.
To select a resource pack, hover over it, and you will see an arrow pointing to the right. Click that, and it will move it to the ‘selected resource pack’ section. You may be prompted that the resource pack won’t be compatible. If that is the case, just continue anyway. It won’t break anything, and it should work as long as it is for 1.16 or higher.
Now, click ‘done’, and Minecraft 1.16.2 will install your resource pack! You can now jump in-game, and start playing Minecraft with texture packs! You can install as many resource packs as you want, and you can even run resource packs together if some textures aren’t supported.
