About this video: If you want to learn everything about the Technic Launcher, this is the video for you! We go over every single feature you have in the Technic Launcher. We will show you how to install Technic Modpacks, add more RAM to the Technic Launcher, and even setup multiple modpacks in the Technic Launcher. Thus, without any more delay, here is our complete guide to the Technic Launcher.
First and foremost, you will need to download the Technic Launcher. You can find the official Technic download website linked above. When you are there, scroll down the page and click on the green ‘Windows’ button. This will make the Technic Launcher start downloading right away.
After the Technic Launcher has finished downloading, it is time to get it installed. This is actually very simple. Just double click on the Technic Launcher file you downloaded. It will then install, and a login box will appear. Here, you need to enter in the same login info you use in the default Minecraft launcher.
After you login to the Technic Launcher, you will be on the Technic main page. You can see popular packs here as well as get some other information about Technic. To find modpacks, click on the ‘modpacks’ tab in the top menu bar. Then, you can search for modpacks in the ‘search’ box. You will then find the modpack you want. You can click on it, and then there will be a blue ‘install’ button in the bottom right. The modpack will then install.
As far as upping the RAM goes, you can do that by clicking on ‘Launcher Settings’. Here, you can add as much RAM as you want to all modpacks - all the modpacks will use this RAM amount. You can also change other settings such as opening up the Technic Launcher with the modpack tab open automatically which can be helpful.
At this point, to play Technic modpacks, just click on the ‘modpacks’ tab, click on the pack you have installed, and click the ‘Play’ button in the bottom right. That will launch Minecraft with your modpack installed! Now, you now know to play Technic Modpacks!
