Well, Minecraft Forge is a mod loader that allows you to quickly and easily install mods into Minecraft. Forge for Minecraft 1.16.2 is by far the most popular mod loader, and it is a must-have if you want to play Minecraft with mods. Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install Minecraft Forge for 1.16.2!
The first step of getting Forge for 1.16.2 is actually downloading. To learn how to download Forge for Minecraft 1.16.2, click the link in the description above. This will actually take you to our text tutorial for getting Forge. From here, click the green ‘Download Forge’ button. You will then be taken to Forge’s official website. Once you get here, click on ‘1.16’ on the left-hand side and then click ‘1.16.2’. Now, click on the ‘Installer’ button that appears under download the latest. You will then be taken to AdFocus where you want to wait a few seconds and then, click ‘Skip Ad’ in the top right. Forge will then start downloading for 1.16.2. Just keep/save this file in your browser.
Now, we can move on to learn how to install Forge in Minecraft 1.16.2. To get started though, we need to make sure you have the correct version of Java for Minecraft Forge. You can find our Java tutorial in the description above. You can also run the Jarfix linked above to be 100% sure you won’t have issues while installing Forge in Minecraft 1.16.2.
After you have Java, you can go ahead and right-click on the Forge file you downloaded, click on ‘ Open With...’, click on ‘Java’, and click ‘Okay’. That will then open up the Forge Mod System Installer. One it is open, click ‘install client’, and click ‘Okay’. Now, Minecraft Forge will install for 1.16.2. When it finishes, it will save ‘Forge has successfully installed!’. Click okay there, and you have officially added Forge 1.16.2 to Minecraft.
We aren’t done just yet though. We still need to make sure that we select the correct installation in order to play Minecraft Forge. To do this, open the Minecraft launcher and click the little arrow next to the play button. Here, you will see a ‘Forge’ installation that will have ‘1.16.2-forge’ under it. Click this installation. Now, click can click play. Minecraft 1.16.2 will open up with Forge installed!
