Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install Minecraft maps in 1.16.2 Java Edition!
First and foremost, we need to download some Minecraft maps. You can find our list of 15 maps for Minecraft 1.16 linked in the description above. All of these maps will work in 1.16.2, and they are all really fun. We have everything from parkour maps to survival maps to puzzle maps to adventure maps. Thus, we show you how to download adventure maps on Minecraft 1.16.2 as well. Once you find the perfect map for you on our list, you can click the green download button to be taken to the custom map’s page. Click the download button here to get the download started.
After you have your Minecraft map downloaded, it is time to start getting your Minecraft 1.16.2 map ready to install. To do this, right-click on the map you downloaded, click on ‘Extract All...’, and then click ‘Extract’ in the bottom right. A new folder will appear, and you can delete the .zip file you downloaded. Open the new folder, and keep clicking until you see ‘DIM1’, ‘DIM-1’, etc. Then, click back in the top left of Windows Explorer. Now, take this folder and drag it to your desktop. Finally, open the folder on your desktop. You should see ‘DIM1’, etc. Your Minecraft Map is finally ready to install on your PC!
To install a Minecraft PC map in 1.16.2, open up the start menu and type ‘run’. Open the Run app, and in the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your Roaming folder will appear. Here, you will see a ‘.minecraft’ folder. Open that, and you should see a ‘saves’ folder. Open that, and now, to install a Minecraft Map in 1.16.2 Java Edition, just drag-and-drop the map folder from your desktop into this saves folder.
Now, to play a Minecraft map on your PC, just open up Minecraft 1.16.2, click on Single Player from the main menu, and you will see your Minecraft map there. You can double click on it to start playing. If you are promoted to back-up your map, you can do so. However, it is not needed as you just downloaded this map.
