Standard Method:
Tap and Hold: Locate the app you want to create a shortcut for in your app drawer.

Drag and Drop: Tap and hold the app icon, then drag it to the desired location on your home screen.

Release: Lift your finger to place the app icon as a shortcut.
Specific Instructions for Samsung Galaxy S10 / S10+:
Swipe Up or Tap App Icon: Go to the app screen by swiping up or tapping the app icon from the home screen.
