To enable or disable the Steam Overlay in your games, follow these steps:

Open Steam on your computer.
Click on Steam in the top-left corner.
From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
In the settings window, choose In-Game from the left menu.

To turn off Steam Overlay:
Untick the box that says “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.
Click OK.

If you want to disable Steam Overlay for a particular game:
Open Steam.

Go to your LIBRARY.

Right-click on the game you want to modify and select Properties.
Make sure you are on the GENERAL tab.
Untick “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.
Click OK.
