How to Get WhatsApp Messages From Phone to Computer (Get Photos too!)
1Method 1: Using Linked Devices (View and Use WhatsApp on Computer)
This method links your phone’s WhatsApp account to your computer, allowing you to view and send messages in real-time without transferring chat history permanently to the computer.
Requirements:
Phone: Android (5.0 or later) or iPhone (iOS 15.5 or later) with the latest WhatsApp version.
Computer: Any browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) or WhatsApp Desktop app (Windows 10+ or macOS 11+).
Internet connection on both devices.
Same phone number for WhatsApp.
Steps:
Access WhatsApp on Computer:
Option A: Browser (WhatsApp Web):
Open a browser and go to web.whatsapp.com.
Option B: Desktop App:
Download the WhatsApp Desktop app from whatsapp.com/download and install it on your computer.
Open WhatsApp on Phone:
On Android: Tap the three dots (top-right) - Linked Devices - Link a device.
On iPhone: Go to Settings - Linked Devices - Link a device.
Scan QR Code:
A QR code will appear on the computer screen (WhatsApp Web or Desktop app).
Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code.
Syncing:
WhatsApp will sync recent chats, contacts, and groups to the computer. Sync time depends on your internet connection.
You can now view, send, and receive messages on your computer.
