Steps to Install Apps from Unknown Sources
Enable Installation from Unknown Sources:
Open Settings:
Swipe up from the home screen to access the Apps tray and tap the Settings app (gear icon).
Navigate to Security Settings:
For Android 8.0 (Oreo) and later:
Go to Settings - Apps & notifications - Special app access - Install unknown apps (or search for “Install unknown apps” in the Settings search bar).
Select the app you’ll use to install the APK, such as Chrome, Firefox, or a file manager like Files by Google.
Toggle Allow from this source to On.
For Android 7.0 (Nougat) or earlier:
Go to Settings - Security (or Lock screen and security).
Find Unknown sources and toggle it On. You may see a warning about risks; confirm to proceed.
