How to Adjust the HDR Color on your PS4 Console (Video Setting)
To adjust the HDR (High Dynamic Range) color settings on your PS4 console, follow these steps:
Turn on Your PS4 and TV: Ensure your PS4 is connected to an HDR-compatible TV using a Premium HDMI cable.
Navigate to Settings: From the PS4 home screen, scroll up to the top menu and select "Settings" (the toolbox icon).
Go to Sound and Screen: In the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Sound and Screen."
Access Video Output Settings: Choose "Video Output Settings" from the next menu.
Enable HDR:
Select "HDR" and set it to "Automatic" (this allows the PS4 to detect and enable HDR when supported by your TV and content).
Ensure "Deep Color Output" is also set to "Automatic" to support HDR color depth.
Adjust HDR Settings:
In the same "Video Output Settings" menu, select "Adjust HDR."
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the HDR output. You’ll typically adjust sliders for brightness until certain logos or patterns are barely visible, ensuring optimal contrast and color range. This process fine-tunes the HDR to match your TV’s capabilities.
Check Video Output Information: After adjusting, you can select "Video Output Information" in the same menu to confirm HDR is "Supported" by your display.
