How to Message Player on PS5 using the PlayStation App on Phone (Must Have)
2To message a player on your PS5 using the PlayStation App on your phone, follow these steps:
Open the PlayStation App:
Launch the PlayStation App on your iOS (14.0 or later) or Android (8.0 or later) device. Sign in with the same PlayStation Network (PSN) account linked to your PS5.
Access the Messaging Section:
From the app’s home screen (Play tab), tap the Messages icon (speech bubble) at the bottom. This opens the Game Base, where you can manage messages and parties.
Select or Start a Conversation:
To Message a Friend:
In the Messages tab, tap Friends to view your friend list.
Select the player you want to message. If they’re not a friend, go to Search (magnifying glass) and enter their Online ID to find them (if their privacy settings allow).
To Message a Recent Player:
Go to Game Base - Recent Players to find players you’ve recently played with online. Tap their profile to start a message.
To Create a New Group:
Tap the Create Message Group icon (paper and pencil) in the Messages tab.
Add players by selecting from your friend list or searching for their Online ID. You can create a group with up to 100 players.
Name the group (optional) and tap Create.
Send a Message:
In the selected conversation or group, type your message in the text box. You can also send:
Voice Messages: Tap the microphone icon, record your message, and send.
Images or Captures: Tap the image icon to attach a screenshot or video from your PS5 Capture Gallery (requires auto-upload enabled; see below).
Stickers: Use PlayStation-themed stickers for quick replies.
Tap Send to deliver the message. Recipients will see it on their PS5, PS4, or PlayStation App.
