About this video: Moving your Steam games to an SSD or another hard drive is actually very simple. In this video, not only do we show you how to move your steam games to another hard drive we also show you how to install new games to any hard drive you want. So, without any more delay, here is how to move Steam Games to another hard drive!
First things first, you’ll need to open up Steam. Then, from there, in the top left you will see the word Steam. Click this and there will be a Settings option. Select that to open your Steam Settings.
In this menu, you will see a Downloads option. Click that, and at the top, there will be a ‘Steam Library Folders’ button. Select this and your storage manager GUI for Steam will appear.
At the top, click the + to add a new hard drive to Steam. Select the hard drive or SSD you want to add to Steam and click ‘Add’. Your additional hard is now ready to move games to it.
To move games, click the original hard drive that your games are on. Select the check box next to the games that you want to move to a new hard drive. Click move on in the bottom right, select the hard drive you want to move the games to, and click move. The Steam games you selected will now move to another hard drive.
At this point, you can now also easily install Steam games to your newly added hard drive. When you click install on a new game, click the Choose l action to install drop-down and select the hard drive you added. Go through the installation process and the game will install on your new hard drive.
