How to Restore Game Saves & Single Player Progress on PS4
Restoring game saves and single-player progress on your PS4 typically involves using either PlayStation Plus cloud storage or a USB storage device. The method you use depends on how you previously backed up your save data.
1. Restore from PlayStation Plus Cloud Storage (Requires PS Plus)
If you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription and had auto-upload enabled or manually uploaded your saves, you can download them from the cloud.
Go to Settings on your PS4's home screen.
Select Application Saved Data Management.
Choose Saved Data in Online Storage.
Select Download to System Storage.
Choose the game you want to restore saves for.
Select the specific save files you wish to download, or choose Select All.
Select Download.
Confirm any prompts to overwrite existing saves on your console.
Tip: You can also often download save data directly from a game's icon on your PS4 home screen. Highlight the game, press the OPTIONS button, and then select Upload/Download Saved Data. From there, you can choose to download from online storage.
