How to Turn Off 2 Step Verification on PS4 Console (Best Method)
While it's strongly recommended to keep 2-Step Verification (2SV) enabled for your PlayStation Network (PSN) account's security, you can turn it off directly from your PS4 console.
Here's how:
1. Access Account Management
From your PS4's home screen, navigate to Settings (the toolbox icon on the top bar).
Select Account Management.
2. Go to Account Information and Security
Choose Account Information. You may be prompted to enter your password again for security verification.
Select Security.
3. Disable 2-Step Verification
Select 2-Step Verification.
You'll see an option for the Status of 2-Step Verification (e.g., "Active" or "Text Message Active" or "Authenticator App Active").
Select this status option.
Change the status to Inactive.
Confirm your choice by selecting OK or Confirm when prompted.
You'll likely receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile device (if you had SMS verification enabled) stating that 2-Step Verification has been disabled for your account.
Important Note: Disabling 2-Step Verification makes your account less secure and more vulnerable to unauthorized access. It's generally advised to keep it enabled for the best protection of your PSN account.
