Hide & Unhide Apps Using the Hidden Folder (iOS 18 or Later)
Hide an App
Locate the App:
Find the app on your Home Screen or in the App Library (swipe left to access).
Hide and Lock the App:
Press and hold the app icon until a menu appears.
Tap Require Face ID (or Require Passcode if Face ID isn’t set up).
Select Hide and Require Face ID (or Hide and Require Passcode) in the pop-up.
The app will be removed from the Home Screen and moved to the Hidden folder in the App Library.
Find and Access Hidden Apps
Go to the App Library:
Swipe left to the App Library.
Scroll to the Hidden folder (usually at the bottom or grayed out).
Alternatively, use the search bar at the top of the App Library and type the app’s name.
Open the App:
Tap the app in the Hidden folder or search results.
Authenticate with Face ID or your passcode to access it.
Unhide the App
Unhide from Hidden Folder:
In the Hidden folder or App Library search, press and hold the app icon.
Tap Add to Home Screen or drag the icon to the Home Screen.
The app will reappear on the Home Screen and remain in the App Library’s regular categories.
Remove Face ID/Passcode Lock (Optional):
Go to Settings - Accessibility - Face ID & Attention (or Settings - Face ID & Passcode).
Under Other Apps, find the app and toggle off Require Face ID or Require Passcode to remove the lock.
