To change your Steam account password, follow these steps:

Open the Steam client on your computer.
Click on the “Steam” tab in the upper left corner.
Select “Settings” (or “Preferences” on a Mac).
Go to the “Security” tab.
Click on “Change Password”.

Choose the option to send a verification email to the email address associated with your account.

Check your email for a message from Steam Support. If you don’t see it, make sure to check your spam folder.

Enter the 5-character code from the email.
Finally, enter your new password (which must not be a previous password and should meet the password strength requirements).
Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll receive confirmation by email1. Remember to keep your new password secure!
