How to Change the Email Address on your STEAM Account (Settings Tutorial)
1To change the email address associated with your Steam account, follow these steps:
Open the Steam client.
Click on your profile icon and then select Account Details.
Scroll down to Contact Info and click on Change my email address.
Choose one of the following options:
If you have access to your current email, select “Get a verification code sent to your current email”. Steam will email you a verification code.
If you no longer have access to your current email, select “Enter your password and new email”. You’ll need to provide your password and the new email address.
Enter the verification code from your email (if applicable) and confirm the email change.
Remember not to close the Steam dialogue box while retrieving the email. If you encounter any errors during this process, wait a few minutes and try again. Once successful, the dialogue box in Steam will confirm the email change. Click Finish to complete the process1.
If you’re unable to receive Steam Guard emails, you can reset your email address from a browser if you’ve added a phone number to your account. Steam will send an SMS to your phone to confirm the change
