In this video, we explore noise gate to add rhythmic energy and variance to a MIDI instrument track. Used typically for noise reduction and/or elimination, we can use the plugin's parameters (e.g. the threshold, reduction, the attack, and the release) to create new textures within the existing ambience. This is a technique I often use for composing music.
