Ice Age : Dawn of the Dinosaurs the Video Game Gameplay chapter 7 - Nuts About Scratte
2Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (or Ice Age 3) is a video game based on the movie with the same name. It was released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, and PC by Activision on June 30, 2009, 1 day before the movies release. It is the sequel to the Ice Age 2 video game.
Most of the cast from the movie voiced the characters in the game, with the exceptions of Denis Leary, Simon Pegg and Sean William Scott.
The game allows the player to take control of Manny, Sid, Diego, Scrat, Scratte and Buck as you take on or run away from dangerous dinosaurs, roll an egg to safety, chase for your beloved acorn, and explore caves and jungles over fifteen levels. However, some characters are just for tiny parts in the game, like Manny and Diego. The main character in the game is Buck. There are eight mini-games to play either in single player mode or with friends in multiplayer and get things from Fast Tony. In the multiplayer mode you can play as Mini-sloths and Baby Dinos. There are three different bosses in the game: Ankylosaurus, Chasmosaurus and Rudy.
Scrat meets an attractive female squirrel named Scratte, she gets away with his acorn and he has to get through a cave to get the acorn back from her. There are several enemies that Scrat will encounter on the way. The first enemy is a dung beetle type who usually walk back and forth but some of them didn't move and throw a ball of mud dirt on Scrat instead, the second is a bat flying upward and downward between mushroom spring (The bat can be attacked if you are careful enough to slam it after double jump and quickly double jump again to get to nearby mushroom without falling), the last are several spiders hanging on their thread but will hurt Scrat if the spiders hit Scrat when dropping down from above by the thread. I missed one crystal on the way so I guess I will have to replay this level later to get the second crystal. In the end, despite Scrat finally getting his acorn back...the acorn stuck in a rock wall due to Scrat and Scratte fighting over it and the acorn got blasted with water from a geyser.
