Super Robot Wars GC Gamecube English Patched v 1.2 Chapter 6 - Atmospheric Entry
Super Robot Wars GC is a game from the Super Robot Wars series and the only game released for Gamecube on 16 December 2004. I used Dolphin Emulator version 5.0 and English patch for this game.
The gameplay seems to be a mix of Dynasty Warriors Gundam and general Super Robot Wars gameplay. In every SRW games, pilots have their own spirits or people often called it magic that would help the pilot by increasing his or her morale, perfectly dodging attack once, etc. The unit also has its own terrain capability which indicated by the name of the terrain along with alphabet of S, A, B, C, or D. Units with S for land means that the unit can unleash its full potential on land and that goes the same for other terrains. The new gameplay is the concept of attack mecha body parts. All mechas have four body parts: Body (Main part. If this body part's hit point reaches zero, the entire unit considered destroyed while ignoring the other parts), Head (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the accuracy and evasion of the unit will drop by 30% percent as the head serves as the eyes and without it, the pilot can't see what's attacking his or her and the pilot can't dodge something that he or she can't see), Arms (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the weapons mounted on the arms will be rendered unusable as it couldn't be operated), Legs (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the movement of the unit would drop into 1 move as without legs, the unit couldn't move normally and weapons mounted on legs would probably rendered unusable).
The last update of the patch released on June fixed all the typo and make the text notably clearer and thicker than version 1.0. Oh well....at least the texts are easier to read now.
The White Base is going to return to Earth but...seems like the enemy won't give them a chance for once. Despite the enemies showing up to stop them, the White Base have to keep up with the Salamis in order to enter the atmosphere. Everyone immediately get ready to launch and hold the enemies until the White Base managed to escape. Amuro doesn't like to keep fighting the enemy while the others seems rather relaxed upon launching their units especially Watta (He has done assignments on both Earth and Space many times, that's why he is the only relaxed pilot among the crews). There are 2 sides that we will have to face this time : Giganos led by Meio Plato and his three new pilots from Practice and Zeon led by Char along with his loyal member, Crown. The only way to finish the mission is either fight all the enemies on the map or quickly move the White Base into the designated area line on the map to escape. This time, I will be making Dragonar team and Amuro face their fated enemy from respective series. The Dragonar team VS Meio Plato and Practice Team (Meio bear the role and image of Char in Dragonar while Kaine bear the role and image of laid-back Amuro if he had friends in his childhood being the leader of the trio gang), Amuro VS Char Aznable (J9 won't interfere by fighting Char this time). This battle is considered as easy except that you will have to keep an eye on Sander and Shiro's units since their GMs are weak along with Hayato's Guntank. After the battle, Light's D-3 detects Crown's Zaku appearing again to take down the White Base despite defeated earlier much to Amuro's shock. Kaine and the gang along with Amuro won't let Crown destroy the White Base and surround Crown in a 4 vs 1 formation. Tapp and Light immediately hold Crown's Zaku while Kaine and Amuro take turn attacking Crown (Kaine deal half of his unit's HP while Amuro finish him with last attack). Crown's Zaku suddenly enter the atmosphere after critically damaged but the D team and Amuro's gundam also got pulled by the atmosphere. The White Base couldn't keep up to help them due to its slow speed but Watta decided to save them with Trider since he told others that Trider could keep up and escape the atmosphere safely. As soon as he entered the atmosphere to save them, everyone worries and hope that Watta returned with the D team and Amuro's gundam safely. When hope seems lost, the radar detects Trider with the Gundam returning safely. Bright asks Watta about the D team and Watta assured him that the D units are safe holding onto Trider's back. Bright and the rest of the crews are relieved with the Dragonar team thanking Watta for saving them (Seems like Amuro didn't thank Watta for helping his return).
I hope you like it. Help my channel grow by subscribe for more walkthrough. Stay tuned and enjoy :-)
Note for every Super Robot Wars games: Each character has their own respective soundtrack just like the classic Super Robot Wars series. Each soundtrack's right of the game belong to their respective owner. I have no right for these game soundtracks cause they came from the game itself.
