Inscryption - Act 2 PO3's Starter Deck Only
This starter deck run went about as well as I expected. On my first try it came in around a 45 minute run. That's only two minutes longer than my near-perfect Deathly Deck run, so it's pretty clean. The only hangup was the Trapper, who took six attempts because of bad draws. Getting to the later stages of that fight can be tough, but if you make it there with a L33pB0ts or two remaining they can hold off the Raven, so it shouldn't be quite as hard as under some other decks.
Having Steambots available really helps the deck out, since they're 2/2. Other than that the deck is honestly a little bit of a mess, but the power of the Energy system makes up for it. You just need to get enough of your L33pB0ts and 49ers early so you can stay alive to turn 5 and start playing more powerful cards. I think a solid "deathless" run with this starting deck wouldn't be hard to pull off, and I almost tried to grind it out, but since I'm not willing to do that for the next two decks I decided to just stick with an edited video. Regardless, I feel confident saying this is the best of the starting decks.
I mishandle the Kaycee fight. I should have let my Steambot punch up through the Bone Hound and Revenant at the same time, but she's such a minor threat I never pay her much attention.
I make a much more serious mistake on the Grimora fight, luring the Bone Hound out and letting the Mummy Lord free. This results in a huge wave of incoming damage to start phase 2, but fortunately I have two rounds of chump blockers. This buys me the time I need to get in five quick points of damage. As long as you get a lucky enough draw and have a Steambot left for phase 2, Grimora's not too bad for this deck.
All the Factory is pretty simple here, although P03 scanning my Thick Droid instead of his Bolt Hound was a bit unexpected. I guess he favors Health. It doesn't matter, as usual with him, since of his cards just wind up becoming mine.
The deck pretty well owns the Tower as well, although the early stage of the Magnificus fight can be a little rocky. Once you get up to fully energy it's quite manageable, but it would be very easy to lose this fight if you draw too many expensive cards out of the gate.
