Guide to installing Lost Planet 2 Benchmark on Ubuntu, using PlayOnLinux (Wine 1.7.1-CSMT).

This video tutorial is done in Ubuntu 13.10, but it will work in Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10, and 13.04 as well. It should work in the future as well, as long as PlayOnLinux is available for future Ubuntu versions. This guide is also applicable to other Linux distros.

To install Lost Planet 2 Benchmark on Ubuntu using PlayOnLinux, we are going to require PlayOnLinux and the Lost Planet 2 Benchmark installer.

Steps:
1. Install PlayOnLinux 4.2.1 or newer.
2. Install Wine 1.7.1-CSMT into POL.
3. Download Lost Planet 2 Benchmark
4. Install Xact, Xinput, Wmp9, WmpCodecs, and D3DX9 into Wine via POL.
5. Install Lost Planet 2 inside PlayOnLinux using Wine 1.7.1-CSMT
6. [Optional] Set Wine to windowed mode at 1920x1080.
7. Using Registry Editor, create a new key Direct3D. Put 2 new string values, CSMT and StrictDrawOrdering. Set CSMT to "enabled", and StrictDrawOrdering to "disabled".
8. Run the benchmark and enjoy!
