Jerp plays Disc Room (demo - ALL dev scores beat) (2020-06-21)
A team of unwitting scientists decide to peek their heads into a disc-shaped spaceship full of sharp and deadly (and... sentient?) metal discs. This was one of the games in the Steam Indie Festival and I managed to try it while the demo was up. Disc Room turned out to be incredibly fun - really frantic, but it controls so well. The disc types, differing goals, and player abilities add a ton of personality to each room.
There was a challenge put out on Twitter where they'd post a link to download Sludge Life for free if you beat any of the dev scores - so on a lark I ended up beating _all_ of the dev scores. Afterwards, I remembered that Sludge Life is free on the Epic store, but I had a surprising amount of fun playing all the levels anyways. I think they really scratched the bullet-dodging itch that I'd otherwise only really satisfy with shmups.
