--------------------------------------------------DESCRIPTION--------------------------------------------------

With The exception of the Defence of Seta, the West campaign is far harder than the East one. Many of your generals are likely to disobey your orders and you will have to work around this fact. At the battle of Sekigahara, Hide Mori, Kobayakawa and Kikkawa will refuse pretty much all of your orders. To give yourself the best chance, play defensively and then place these 3 units at the front of your army. This way these units can act as sort of meat shields, and will be forced to fight when the enemy crashes into them.

Again, the content here is a little bit messier than I would have liked. Character getting involved in duels is something that you don’t have any say over. Although it can go either way, a character with a much higher battle stat is more likely to win. People like Shima, Honda and Kato will win most of their duels. The winning army gets a boost in zeal with the winning unit getting a morale bonus, whilst the losing unit gets a small morale penalty. This sudden zeal increase can lead to a wave of special manoeuvres being used against you. I debated on whether redoing some of the missions where I was particularly unfortunate in the duel outcomes. Ultimately, I decided against it, as I wanted to show what you could do to play around and mitigate bad fortune.

I also did not use the anvil formation as much as I should have done. Units in the anvil formation take reduced damage from special maneuverers. If I played it smarter, I should have used units in the anvil formation at the front to reduce damage, and units with other formations conferring special manoeuvre advantages further back the line.

There was also a weird glitch where the sound of soldiers fighting would loop over and over again at the Epilogue. I changed the settings on my emulator multiple times but could not get this to stop. I do apologise as it is rather distracting. I did my best to mitigate how loud it was in editing but could not remove it entirely.
