2A relatively easy level, except for the fact that we need to get helmet reset glitch again, so we can start as Red Stealth. It is very necessary to do this because using Samurai Haze is the most optimal way to get past the first Tar Monster, which will not even set up in time to damage you. Using Samurai Haze is also necessary to get past the last two diamonds, as they will be positioned in fairly optimal spots, and will be much easier to dodge.
There are no critical times in this level besides 2:39, because even though there are two time clocks in this level, both are impossible to collect within the 27-second speed bonus. That being said the margin in which to reach the flag by 2:39 is pretty unforgiving. The enemy boosts in the middle section (0:19-0:25) should be done without error, as well as the various jumps I do in the bottom section (0:26-0:33) should be done as early and precisely as possible, so as to not lose too many frames.
At this point, it is probably important to address how I am making these videos with an emulator:
Are save states being used? Yes, they are. However, I only use them before a level is started. That way, whenever I would mess up, I just unfreeze the state to go back to the level's title card, previous level's teleporter, etc. No savestates are ever used within the level itself, so all the gameplay per round is done in one go.
Are cheats being used? Yes, but only ones that read, "Start on (Insert Level Name)". This way, I don't have to play through the entire game to reach a level, and the score counter can always read 0 before completing a level. This way, it is so much easier to read exactly how many points I received at the end of the level. All helmets and diamonds used in a level were acquired and brought to that level legitimately.
