In front of the pistons, we use blocks with different hitboxes to create gaps that only mobs of a smaller size can pass through! This allows us to separate the zombies from the skeletons, as well as the creepers from the witches! We will only be able to test the sorting system once the mob farm is completed though!

Looking up the beacon beam, the sky appears to be turning darker so we instinctively put down our bed to sleep! Soon, we realise that it was merely an illusion as we had covered the hole with glass and allowed water to flow over it.

That also means our only way out is blocked, though! We fly up with our Elytra and manage to break a block of glass before falling down. Then, we swim out of the pit! We return to the storage area to convert more normal stone to smooth stone!

Before heading back to the mob farm, we harvest some honeycomb from the beehives! We go down the drop shaft and build some scaffolding upwards so we can place the rest of the smooth stone on the walls. After placing all the smooth stone, we fly back out of the shaft and see that the sky is turning dark!

We sleep for the night before continuing! The next day, we work on installing the filters for the mobs. We head back to the storage area in front of the deepslate base to craft a campfire! We also pick up some stone slabs and craft two chains.

Returning to the top of the drop shafts, we place down an extinguished campfire in one tunnel, and place down the stone slab in the other! We also craft spruce fence gates to block off the water. Then, we put in the chains hanging from some top slabs above!

The space between the campfire and the chain is just enough for a zombie to pass through, but skeletons cannot fit! Similarly, the space between the bottom slab and the chain is enough for a creeper to pass through, but not a witch! Our mob farm makes use of this fact to sort out the different mobs!

Around the sticky pistons, we replace some normal stone blocks with smooth stone blocks, as some of the normal stone may be visible when the pistons retract! Going down to the beacon pyramid, we slay a tiny slime! We head back to our chests to pick up some stained glass.

We place the stained glass on top of the drop shafts, making the sticky pistons push the glass blocks instead! This way, the mobs can clearly see where they are going before they fall to their death. We place down some water in the tunnel so mobs can flow away after the piston pushes them through the filter!

After standing on the pistons to test the sorting system, we head out of the tunnels and refill our bucket of water! Seeing that it is turning to night, we place down our bed to sleep. The next morning, we enclose the water channels entirely with stone bricks!

In order to place down the water sources in the upper channels, we craft some spruce fence gates and install them above the piston sorting area! We also place a sea lantern above for some light. While trying to escape, we accidentally let water into the redstone chamber! Dang it!

The water has also disrupted the column of flowing water that is beside the beacon beam. After we fix the redstone wiring, we add in some stone bricks to separate the two water channels! Noticing that we are out of stone, we return to the surface to get more. We have some trouble flying out of the water!

With the stone, we fill in the empty space above the ceiling of the water channels. Adding in some sea lanterns, we start digging out another drop shaft for the creepers! As usual, we mine out all the stone variants and ores that are on the walls and replace them with normal stone.

We break into the beacon pyramid room where we find another small slime! I hope that the spawning of slimes does not affect the rates of our mob farm! We replace some granite and deepslate on the ceiling and the walls of the room with normal stone.

Flying up the drop shaft, we build up the rest of the water channel to bring the creepers to the shaft! We see that it is late on our clock and take a rest on our bed. After sleeping, we place down some fence gates to stop the water from flowing down the shaft!

Just before the drop, we place a fence gate below the water which may help prevent mobs from getting stuck on the edge! We complete the water channel and seal it off completely. After getting into the water to test it out, we end the episode in the beacon pyramid room!
