After being recommended this character by one of my viewers, I opted to try Lissandra during her free week and see how she fares against one of the strongest top laners currently.

To summarize the lane, before level 7, I have a considerable edge on GP, but once he hits 7, the trigger on his barrels becomes considerably smaller and easier for him to detonate. Before this point, it takes too long for the timer to count down while still being in range of the barrel as I can either hit him and force him away or just hit the barrel before he does. Even though the increase is fairly small, Lissandra's glacier-like slow movement makes it impossible to try to make some sort of dodge play.

Interestingly enough, I've been looking into the AP casters to try to find someone as slow as Lissandra and the only other one I've been able to find so far is Zyra. Lissandra's ult may have gotten buffed, but I think her bad passive, sky high mana costs, and slow movement are probably going to stop her from regaining any favor. She is fairly strong in team fights, and once GP hit level 7, it would have been best to try to focus on those instead of wasting any more time in the lane with him. Despite his orange, if he overextends, I have the Ring and Tomb to lock him down and if Elise helps, her cocoon can help provide more lockdown than he can escape from. This is his primary downfall in the team fights as he can't cleanse everything and once he pops the orange, he is a sitting duck.

I would like to try a couple more Lissandra games before taking the plunge on her, but there are still a couple more candidates for AP top laner that I'm looking at. Currently, I'm saving up IP for the next Rune Page sale so I can expand my jungler pool, so I'm trying to delay buying someone until that arrives.

Also, as for the rest of the week, I don't know what my upload schedule is going to be like. My schedule is getting revised and depending on how that plays out, I might not have a lot of time for games this week. However, when the dust does settle, I should actually have more time available for recording. It's just that everyone here may have to settle for a week or two of infrequent League games until I know more.
