72Terri and the party are slowing working through the first of three challenges that need to be overcome to open the final seal, unleashing progressively more difficult encounters to receive magical orbs. According to the notes we recovered near the device, an orb of each colour needs to be inserted into the machine to get the key and while we could just use the first one dispensed, the optimal thing to do is to get all of them and use only the final one which has no potion-like quantities. This method also gets us the most experience, something that’s always welcome.
What makes this test quite a bit easier is the fact that you can choose precisely when you want to face the next challenge. This, combined with the fact that you know where the foes will appear after the first encounter for each colour, means that you can buff and position your party to best deal with what’s to come. The only thing you don’t know for sure is precisely what threat you’ll go up against, but they do follow a general theme which will give you clues. All in all, it’s not the hardest of the challenges here and provided you rest after each fight, success is likely.
