It may not seem like a big thing, completely filling in a large map, but it is. Doing so allows us to know the lay of the land at a glance, helping us plan our excursions and not get lost while on them. It’s also a great thing to put on the wall in item frames, to the point that I often have a dedicated map wall somewhere in my home so I can gaze upon all the world the Avatar has seen with his own eyes.
It may have taken a lot longer than it should have – mostly due to me being far from efficient throughout the entire process – but much as our explorations were a journey, so is life. Those that spend their time rushing through every day may achieve more, but what of the things they miss out on by keeping their eyes only on the goal? What of the potential achievements that are overlooked or worse, dismissed as ‘needless’? In my opinion, a life of absolute efficiency is no life at all, hence why I have no regrets bumbling about as I have filling in this map.
