Gordon Freeman is probably the most heavily armed person in the entirety of Black Mesa right now with only Barney Calhoun and Adrian Shephard coming close to his level of ordinance. There aren’t many more weapons for us to collect in the game and while we don’t utilise everything we have – I always forget to use the satchel charges and trip mines, for example – it’s safe to say that we have a weapon for every situation.
...Well, NEARLY every situation.
There are some foes that are just too big and too powerful to take on effectively with our small arms fire. You may think that a rocket launcher and the zappy pewpews we have shouldn’t be referred as small arms but there’s one alien that should shrug off all of our rockets and pew pews like it was nothing and then incinerate us within seconds. The first time we faced it we were lucky enough to deal with it using huge amounts of electrical current but I doubt we’ll be so lucky next time… or will we?
