74Our search continues for something to extract the key from the front door, though whether it’ll be in one piece one we retrieve it is another matter. If it is broken, we’ll need to either locate a replacement or get it fixed, both of which are far easier said than done. The former being possible hinges on Mattis stashing another key somewhere we can reach which isn’t likely considering the key we got was likely the spare. I doubt a keysmith will be able to repair it even if they were open and Edna is at risk of being caught and returned to the asylum were she to try. Perhaps we need to look to our past exploits for the solution to this problem should it arise.
One thing is certain, I don’t think Edna is prepared for what she’s going to find in her home. There will be no-one waiting to welcome her with open arms save silence, dust and grime. There may also be the answers she so desperately seeks but will they be the evidence that clears her father and exposes Dr. Marcel’s wrongdoings? Even if she were to find that, will it give her the closure she’s also seeking without realising it?
