Another part of my Fallout 1 playthrough. In this one, Set, the ghoul leader of Necropolis is made into my enemy. He has somewhere in the vicinity of a billion guards, but that's okay. I have an automatic shotgun.

We're still trying to get a Water Chip to save the vault, but we might as well kill some ghouls along the way for fun and profit. The harsh wasteland life has changed my character into a sociopathic killer. Not unlike Set, ironically. The only difference is he can blame the radiation. Anyway, I hope you like combat in Fallout, because that's, like, 90% of this video.

On a somewhat tangential note, while the combat in Fallout 1 & 2 is not very tactical and mostly about spamming stimpacks, it's pretty darn satisfying. Mostly due to the combat animation & sound effects, and especially the critical hit kill animations being excellent. Powerful guns really sound powerful, and hearing the chunks of your dead enemy's flesh hit the ground after a big burst is very satisfying in a gruesome kind of way. I'll leave it to talking about Fallout here, but I may end up making a video about something along those lines. Maybe using Fallout 1 & 2 as an example, but also maybe some other games.

Necropolis is really where Fallout gets real, and in this episode of Let's Play Fallout, we come to lose something very important. No spoilers, but it kind of sucks.
