The end of Malcolm’s journey is in sight at long last, though it’s not yet over. To clear our name we need to hear from the ghost of the person that Malcolm is supposed to have killed, King William. We know how to do it, it’s just a matter of collecting enough people together and a way to bring the ghost of the former king to politely explain that we most certainly didn’t stab him to death. I’m sure this will not only be a quick and relatively hassle-free process, but that news of Malcolm’s innocence will be wholeheartedly accepted by everyone almost immediately, with no-one questioning the authenticity of the testimony of a dead man.

That of course presumes that Malcolm is in fact innocent. For all we know, Malcolm could’ve been lying each and every time he protested the event in question and he’s been guilty of it all along. That’s not likely however; the game has been far too heavy-handed about the matter and I doubt it has the subtlety to pull such a surprise ending as to have Malcolm be a villain the whole time. His redemption must be achieved, even if it means countless attempts to trade with Herman for the sesame seeds we need to complete the game. Maybe after we’ve cleared Malcolm’s name he can finally get the nap he’s been wanting for so long; he certainly deserves it after all the travelling he’s been doing.

But even the game ending is not the end of this let’s play, oh no. There’s still more for this game to show us, things that I never encountered as well as different wants of handling certain puzzles. This game has a number of points where multiple ways of progress are possible and I think it’s time I showed them off. If anything one or two of them might fill in the gaping holes in the plot that left me wondering just who certain people were and their purpose in the story.

And then there’s the death scenes, a number of which I’m sure to have missed somehow as we went through the game. Suffice to say we’re not done with Kyrandia 3 yet, so I’ll belay my written summary of what I thought of the game till then. Next time, the extra videos will begin.
