The prison system of Kyrandia is certainly an unusual one and though Malcolm has managed to outsmart it twice now, we’re not yet done with being caught and punished for our past crimes. Thought Malcolm hasn’t done any bad since his release from his stony prison, all the stuff he did while ruling the land with an iron fist of tyranny hasn’t really been paid for barring said petrification that has now ended. Brandon and Kallak are keen for Malcolm to leave Kyrandia and spend the rest of his life in exile, even though that gives him the perfect chance to scheme against the kingdom. I don’t know if it’s the fact that they don’t perceive Malcolm as a true threat anymore or that they’re confident of their own magical defences, but if Macolm was truly that insignificant you’d think they’d be less concerned with him being free.

We have a couple more situations to show off when it comes to getting captured, then it’ll be on to the other ways of escaping Kyrandia, one that which we used in the latter part of the first playthrough. Unlike then however, we won’t be freely offered the magic to escape as we’re not working for the interests of Kyrandia, so we’re going to have to be sneaky if we’re to get what we want. Fortunately for us, Malcolm is highly adept at sneakiness so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
