Let's Play The Banner Saga [Part 26] - Summer Path

It's a gameplay video of Studio Stoic's The Banner Saga, featuring voice commentary by me, FerrousPilot. This is the 26th part of an ongoing playthrough, and you're probably better off watching the previous episodes first if you're interesting in following along. If you're just looking for a walkthrough or a guide of a particular section, then this might be fine, although I don't really explain as I go along, and I'm learning more about The Banner Saga even as I play it, since this is a blind playthrough.

Recap of previous story events from this LP: We left the Varl city of Einartoft after Iver woke up from his Bellower induced coma and told the Varl king Jorundr what for. Many of the Varl came with us, and if you remember from previous chapters of the story, we've still got some humans from Skogr since this caravan is being led by Rook. Joining us is the mender Eyvind, whose lover/mentor Juno will be meeting us at Sigrholm as some kind of plot device to further advance the narrative. Cool.

Eventually, we run into a random event choice! Shall we sacrifice time and take the safer main road to Sigrholm, or shall we take the dangerous Summer Path to move more quickly. Of course, we choose the Summer Path because the line between stupidity and bravery is paper thin! Then we get to experience some of The Banner Saga's fabulous combat gameplay after being surrounded by a horde of angry dredge. Yikes! Now, I don't have to best track record with winning battles in The Banner Saga, but we've been doing alright so far.
