Let's Play Wolfenstein: The New Order [Part 28] - Moonwalk

Gameplay from Wolfenstein: The New Order, the FPS developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda. BJ Blazkowicz is a moon man now. Has he been taking cues from DingleBingle? Is Wofenstein The New Order is turning into Pillars of Eternity? Well, probably not. Wolfenstein came out first, and the gameplay couldn't be any different between the two, and the story and narrative are also highly dissimilar. But I'm not here to talk about the similarities and differences between Wolfenstein: The New Order and Pillars of Eternity. I'm here to talk about what happened in the video.

The story so far is that we went to the freaking moon because the freaking Nazis built a freaking NAZI MOON BASE on the freaking moon. We impersonated a scientist for about 5 seconds before stripping down and whipping out our massive laser gun. Speaking of laser guns, everybody on the moon uses a laser gun (besides the officers, who all use pistols). Well, you can't say Wolfenstein doesn't try and vary the gameplay up a little. Or the story for that matter, because if going to the freaking moon is not a zany plot twist of 80's action movie tier writing, then I don't know what kinds of stories you've been reading.

So anyway, this episode of Let's Play Wolfenstein The NEw Order actually has a fair bit of stealth. I sneak around killing people with a silenced pistol, and even manage to achieve some degree of success. Until I fail horribly when a giant robot nazi power armored ubermensch appears in front of me, and shootings me with his massive chain gun. But hey, Wolfenstein is an FPS game. The core gameplay was always going to be shooting gameplay, and not stealth gameplay. That's just obvious.

You know what's not so obvious? When BJ Blazkowizcs gets into a freaking nazi space suit and we get to walk on the surface of the freaking moon! Yes, we get to walk on the moon in Wolfenstein The New Order, and this is an important (okay not really) part of the storyline. It also has silly moon physics where we jump around all floaty-like and our gun wobbles around in our hands like jelly.
