Let's Play Wolfenstein: The New Order [Part 32] - Kreisau Circle

Wolfenstein: The New Order gameplay featuring Blazkowicz killing the nazis who attacked our (the Kreisau Circle) home base! Unfortunately, that devious villain Frau Engel has already left, and with Anya as a prisoner no less! Well, I guess we'll have to satisfy ourselves with shooting, stabbing, stealth attacking, and exploding the remaining nazis and their robots. I mean, it's just an FPS game. I'm only in it for the gameplay. Only nerds care about story. Okay, so probably even nerds care about gameplay. Looking it's a playthrough of Wolfenstein The New Order and it's almost over since this is one of the last levels so if you're watching this you probably know what to expect by now. I feel like I'm writing something like this in each description of each passing episode of this Wolfenstein The New Order LP.

So what actually happens in this video? Well it doesn't take a genius to predict that I die a lot. FPS gameplay is too hard. You mean I have to point AT the enemy while I shoot them? Absurd. No but really, Wolfenstein: The New Order is stepping up the difficulty of the gameplay a bit as we head to towards the main climax of the storyline. I could argue that the increase in difficulty is used to highlight this aspect of the narrative, but I actually think that's not the case here and I'm just bad at the game. Besides, you've already seen that Armchair Analysis video on difficulty scaling where I talk about pretty much the same thing.

So where were we? Wolfenstein: The New Order. Right. Well Max Hass opens the door to the bunker for us and we slaughter Nazis with the goal of retrieving one of the helicopters so that we can go save our comrades and the world by going to Deathshead's compound and blowing shit up. Now that's the Wolfenstein I know and love. After many shooting things we finally get to the boss of the level!

The boss of the Kreisau Cricle base level (I don't know what it's meant to be called) is A GIANT ROBOT NAZI DOG! We've been seeing these nazi robodogs since the beginning of the game. Seriously, I'm pretty sure the title of one of my Wolfenstein The New Order Let's Play videos was Nazi Robodogs or something along those lines. We've fought them and shoot them and even killed them, but never have we done it mano-e-mano as we do now. It's freaking hard. :(
