Let's Play The Banner Saga [Part 30] - Bjorulf Godstone

Gameplay from The Banner Saga by Studio Stoic. Juno wasn't at Sigrholm, so we left. Eyvind wasn't too happy about that, but I'm pretty sure after hearing what Alette said about that creepy dude checking her out in a creepy way, Rook was happy to leave. Then again, The Banner Saga is a game of choice and consequence, so who knows what impact our early departure will have on the story going forward.

Speaking of the main storyline, we're headed to Boersgard for some reason. I don't remember what importance Boersgard has to the lore or the back story of The Banner Saga, but we're going there, so that's cool. Last episode was focused more on travel and narrative choice based gameplay, but this episode we're back to the basics with some tactical turn based combat!

Armed with our new Banner Saga battle strategy which involves weakening, but not killing opponents, we do pretty well for ourselves. We still lose people each battle, but that much might just be my ineffectual gameplay. Either way, we haven't lost a single combat encounter still adopting this tactic, so I'm pretty happy about that. We even feed some kills to Strongarm Iver and get him a promotion!

Anyway, the story behind why we even had to fight in the first place was that there were some villagers who were being attacked by brigands. We go involved to help them, but actually it was because I wanted more renown.
