This is the longplay of Last Action Hero, an action video game series based on the movie of the same name. This game was released for Nintendo Entertainment System, Super NES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear, Amiga and MS-DOS. This is the SNES version, a platform and beat 'n up game, developed by Bits Studios and distributed by Sony, released in 1993 in the United States and Europe.
Last Action Hero is a 1993 action comedy film starring actor Arnold (wait a minute, I'll look up his last name on Google) Schwarzenegger, who portrays Jack Slater, a fictional LAPD detective. Slater is a fictional movie character, the hero of the Jack Slater action film series. The plot has as protagonist the boy Danny Madigan (played by Austin O'Brien), who is a big fan of Jack Slater. Madigan wins a magic movie ticket, which makes him enter Slater's new movie and go through adventures in a crazy world, with cartoons, violence and even Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone's character in "Basic Instinct"). However, there is a problem: the same ticket causes the film's villains to also leave for the real world. The big threat is the assassin named Benedict (played by Charles Dance). Benedict flees the film world and escapes into the real world. In the face of this, Danny Madigan and Jack Slater team up to put an end to Benedict's threat.
In the game, we control Jack Slater, who needs to attack enemies with punches and kicks. The game's graphics are acceptable for 1993, the music is okay, but the gameplay is just awful. The controls are terrible, the difficulty is unfair, the character is nothing like Arnold Schwarzenegger and, to make matters worse, it is not possible to attack by jumping or being lowered.
Most movie-based games are bad and this is one of those games. Stay away from this awful game. I hope you enjoy the video.
