This is the longplay of the game Metal Slug: Super Vehicle - 00, run and gun platform and action game created by SNK. Metal Slug was originally developed by Nazca Corporation and published by SNK in 1996, initially in Arcades (more precisely in Neo-Geo) and then in consoles (first Neo-Geo consoles and then other systems, such as Playstation and Sega Saturn) .
In the game we control the characters Marco Rossi and Tarma Roving. Marco is an Italian-American soldier specializing in computing and capable of invading highly protected systems to obtain privileged information and Tarma is a Japanese son of a military man who has great skill as a mechanical engineer and vehicle builder, motorcycles being his favorite vehicles.
The game is set in 2028 and follows Marco and Tarma on a mission to stop the Rebel Army's plans to create a New World Order, led by General Donald Morden. Our heroes are part of the Regular Army and seek revenge against Morden, a tyrant responsible for several crimes against humanity.
Metal Slug takes place in a war scenario, where it is necessary to shoot all enemy soldiers to proceed in the game. The scenarios are very interactive and it is possible to destroy them to obtain items or even drop them on certain enemies. The player starts every mission and life with a pistol with infinite ammo and ten grenades, but other weapons can be obtained, such as the H (Heavy Machine Gun, a machine gun that fires bursts in all directions, including diagonal), F (Flame Shot , which shoots a blast of fire at enemies, but not very recommended against machines), R (Rocket Launcher, to fire chasing rockets at enemies, very useful for hitting machines and shields) and S (Shotgun, powerful short-range fire). In addition to weapons, the player can also use the SV-001 vehicle (also known as Metal Slug), which is a main battle tank built by the Regular Army to defend against Morden's threats.
During the course the player will find some POWs (Prisoner Of War), which once released, reward the player with items or weapons. They appear to have long hair and a beard, wearing only ripped denim shorts. At the end of each phase, score bonuses are added to the player for each POW that was released, but if the player dies before that, the POW counter will be reset.
This is the first game in the Metal Slug series to be released and soon became a great SNK classic. Metal Slug contains a lot of violence, but it's also quite caricatured, both in the characters' expressions and in the events. The game has exceptional graphics, taking full advantage of the power of Neo-Geo. Without a doubt, it is a game that deserves to be played.
The video was made with 2 players, with almost all of the default settings (level 4), however with the Blood Mode turned On. Hope you like it.
