A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY!

This is a longplay of game Super Star Wars, action, plataform and shooter game released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo, developed by Sculptured Software and LucasArts and published by JVC and later by Nintendo (in 1.1 SNES Version and Virtual Console).

Super Star Wars is the first game in the Star Wars film franchise released for the Super Nintendo. The game is based on the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, released in 1977. The game follows the events of the film relatively faithfully, with just a few creative adaptations to put into a game of this style.

In the game we control Luke Skywalker, a young man who is on the path of becoming a Jedi Knight, under the guidance of Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke's mission is to save the universe from Darth Vader's tyranny. On the way, our hero will have the help of robots R2-D2 and C3PO, as well as Han Solo and Chewbacca (aka Chewie), who are also playable characters. In the platorma phases we can use the pistol to shoot and, at a certain point, Luke also receives the Lightsaber. To help the heroes, we have items like Thermal Detonators (hit all enemies at the same time), Shields (temporary invincibility), Point Multipliers, Time Bonus (to increase time), Health Swords (to increase the life bar), plus small and large hearts to recover from wounds and upgrades for the pistol, which are essential. In addition to the platform stages, there are also levels in vehicles and the X-Wing spacecraft, following the film's script well.

The graphics are great and make good use of the potential of the SNES, the soundtrack is that of the film in great arrangements, which make good use of the sound capacity of the console. The gameplay is very intuitive and the difficulty level is considered high, making it necessary to be well equipped to face the game's challenges and overcome them more easily. Without a doubt, one of the best movie-based games ever released for the Super Nintendo.
