This is the longplay of Donkey Kong Jr, a platform game developed by Nintendo Research & Development 1, published by Nintendo and released in 1983, initially in Arcades and later on home consoles. This game is a sequel to Donkey Kong.
The story follows Donkey Kong Jr. in his attempts to rescue his father Donkey Kong, who was trapped in a cage by Mario. In the game, we control DKJR, who can jump, hang from vines and ropes, and drop fruits to defeat enemies.
The goal is to climb to the top of the stage and get the key to the cage where Donkey Kong is imprisoned. The game, although having the same style as the previous one, presents a slight graphic evolution and marks the only appearance of the character Mario as an antagonist. The video was recorded in four loops. This is the Japanese version, where the title screen of the game has the name Donkey Kong JR abbreviated instead of being spelled out (Donkey Kong Junior) as in other versions.
