Initially, I was really stumped on how to deal with the Nobitas at the start. There's no weapon that kills them in one shot so I thought to just shoot them with lemons. Then partway through attempts, I remembered about the Beat Saber. I'd had this turned off since I did Pint House Power House perfect because if I accidentally use a Beat Saber attack, then that'd take away the buster only/perfect status. But since this is the normal category, I can use it. Beat Saber turns your charge shot into a slash that does 4 damage to regular enemies so long as you're holding up when you release the charge button. This is exactly what I needed to clear those pesky Nobitas at the start. The stage gives plenty of time to charge it up too.

Another aspect of the Beat Saber is that if you input the VarSword combos from Battle Network, you get the cool different attack that VarSword had too. Most of these don't matter too much, but the Elemental Shockwave is actually the most interesting thing. It shoots four slashes that have the damage table of Flame Mixer, Rain Flush, Spark Shock, and Search Snake in that order. The most interesting part, though, is that it pierces boss i-frames, meaning if you can hit with all four slashes, you can be doing a LOT of damage. The downside is that the button combo is really really hard to pull off and you don't have a lot of time to put it in. That's what's stopping me from trying to use Beat Saber on bosses. The button combo is just too dang hard.

Anyways, enough about Beat Saber. The rest of the stage after the underwater section is all Rush usage. Rush Jet just skips all the tough platforming. That said, the final section with all the Haiker Ns is pretty rough. You should kill the Haiker Ns before Rush reaches their wall. Once locked in, the Haiker Ns count as walls and will make Rush flee. Moreover, you really want the last section to be one continuous Rush Jet ride because if you get punted off of Rush Jet, recovering from that is really hard. So you gotta squeeze both Rush Jet and Mega Man past that 2 tile gap in the wall. This is somewhat precise. Not super bad, but it can be a bit hard to tell when you're also busy dealing with the Haiker Ns.

This run beats the previous normal record, MystSvin's 1:28. For improvements, the only thing I can think of is the last section. You could probably get off of Rush Jet faster for some time save. Other than that, maybe minor movement stuff in the underwater section and uh maybe the elemental Beat Saber combo on the boss? I'm still a bit iffy on that.
