There's some problems in this stage. THERE'S TOO MANY GOD DAMN BENKS AND CANNONS. Literally the entire stage is shielded enemies which is a real unfortunate box. But also, it doesn't mean that BenKs, which are like 12 HP Sniper Joes, should be plastered everywhere. As you can imagine, there's a lot of damage boosting in this stage as a result.

There's that room with a BenK guarding a ladder and a bunch of Galaxy Man Teleporters around. That room is pretty awful if you drop down immediately which was what I did before. I'm so thankful I found out that if you shoot a Salt Water from the ladder, it triple hits it which kills it in only one shot. Usually Salt Water doesn't manage that and only hits once or twice. In any case, if you don't do exactly this, then you're pretty much guaranteed to be spending more time than you should on this one BenK.

And then there's also a Hanabiran fight. wtf I hate this thing. I think it is actually possible to one cycle it in this stage, but you gotta be either really fast at mashing Homing Sniper and not get hit by a petal. I tried fighting with Concrete Shot, but I'm just not fast enough to kill it with that in one cycle and you need to jump and mash for it which I'm not as good at.

And then there's the long hallway of just tons of BenKs and Cannons. The Cannons are the real threat here. Because they take up the entire ledge, you can't Tengu Blade or Blast Wind past them. So you gotta Blast Wind past a previous BenK. For some reason, some of the BenKs are prone to despawning in this room which can mess the strat up.

For the record, I don't hate this stage a whole lot, it's just...those BenKs man.

This stage beats the previous normal record, MystSvin's 1:57. For improvements, the room where I Salt Water a BenK could stand to be a bit faster. Also, one cycling the Hanabiran would save a lotta time, but you gotta be fast. For the room after the key door, I think you can probably use Flame Mixer to open the Plant Man Platforms. It's just that my experience in using it to open the platforms have been pretty inconsistent so I didn't think to try it. With that very last BenK, you might be able to get away with Blast Winding the spear and then sneaking past the BenK like that. But that relies on you actually having enough health after all the damage boosting in the rest of the stage. Maybe if you can sneak a Beat Medic somewhere in there? Best bet would probably be while waiting for the key door to open. And finally, the Plant Man fight could maybe be better.
