Now that I have a 3-Star rank with the Golden Wii Wheel, people will REALLY go after me. Some people will figure I'm good at this game to have attained the top rank and that I did so using a control scheme they feel just doesn't work. Well, the ones that go after me anyway. I still see a lot of Wii Wheel usage, but they don't really seem to attack me so much as people using control stick schemes.

Race #2
Maple Treeway
This course is one of the ones I do pretty well in, but no way I can do well when I'm attacked as much as I do. The Lightning Bolts have never been so uncannily perfect in their timing than in this race, and I really found it infuriating when, on the second lap, Linda backed up while giant in order to run people over. All in all, I felt sabotaged from front to back. This game makes me mad. But I keep wanting to come back for more.

Race #3
DK Mountain
Well! I pulled off the shortcut all three times here. Looks like I got it down! Even though a Lightning Bolt in the second lap messed up my chances of using the shortcut, allowing that Lil' Stein to take the lead...a small lead, but one nonetheless. But it was my superior shortcut-taking skills in the final lap that secured me the lead!

Battle #3
Thwomp Desert
I decided to go for a strategy in Thwomp desert: Stay out of the action for extended periods of time by going out to the end if I can amass a lot of Coins. I was occasionally hit, but nothing too dire. I had trouble moving around Thwomp Desert, but everyone else too. But the end is the real highlight of this battle--I unleashed a veritable shark tank near the end, using a Mega Mushroom to collect Coins safely. From that point all the way to the end, it was a war zone! I collected my 14th Coin and skedaddled out of there. Watch the team scores fluctuate wildly...though the overall trend was the Blue Team climbing up as the Red Team descended.
Hmm, it looks like I only played as adorable reptiles this time around: Koopa Troopa, Yoshi, and Bowser Jr.
