Here it is. Here it fucking is. An emblem of sheer insanity, when I started this project with X4 a month back I expected a week, maybe 2 week break from the normal content I make. Alas, this boss rush alone was the catalyst for a completely torturous two weeks. If X5 is a 9 on the difficulty scale, then X6 turns it up all the way to 20.

This is a boss rush of Mega Man X6 using only the basics. The description is alone is horrifying enough, but let's elaborate shall we? X takes no damage and uses only the buster. The Z-Sabre is never used, and any exceptions with parts or weapons will be detailed when we get there, otherwise X uses no special weapons and equips no parts, save for the Shock Buffer which is used to get through the stages and does not affect the challenge. Most importantly, all bosses are fought on Xtreme Mode, and Level 4, with two exceptions (Zero Nightmare and the first High Max fight cannot be fought at Level 4 due to a design oversight) This is, when all things are considered, the hardest challenge I've ever undertaken for this channel.
Individual Boss Comments:

Metal Shark Player - Fuck it let's just knock this one out first. MSP is an absolute pain, with an incredibly large amount of attacks at his disposal, Shark Player always keeps you guessing. All of his attacks are tricky, but when he brings out the anchor, managing those while also dodging his dives is just awful. The apparitions he brings back aren't exactly easy to deal with either, especially not when he's got the anchors out. Did I mention he can have up to 4 of those fuckers on the screen at one time?

And you know what? This is great. This is my favorite boss fight in the entire game, because in a rare instance of competence from the X6 devs, he tests your reaction time and ability to think and improvise on the spot, instead of testing your ability to win a fucking numbers game.

Zero Nightmare - Thank you for reminding me that if I didn't want this to become such a fucking hassle, I should've just used Zero.

Blizzard Wolfang - When I think of bosses in this game who become significantly more difficult at Level 4 compared to 1 or 3, this guy is the first one to come to mind. Wolfang is an absolute terror at level 4. While the battle is short, his icicle attack is devastating. Besides the fact that the X-Buster lacks both the range and speed to destroy the sheer amount of shit he can cover the screen in, Wolfang generates them at such a rapid pace and covers so much of the screen that it feels like a game of fucking operation just trying to avoid damage while he whips it out. Thankfully, it's a short battle, but dangerous regardless.

High Max - Man is this battle booooooring. High Max's attacks are almost painfully simple to dodge, and he doesn't have much to throw at you either. Besides the fact that he can only be harmed by special weapons, the only stand out aspect of the bastard is his third phase, which is a PAIN IN THE ASS. The energy shots have a pattern, but following them is just ridiculous, not helped by the fact that the bastard fires them out so fucking fast.

Rainy Turtloid - This is an interesting battle for a few reasons. Rainy Turtloid is notable for being the boss to benefit most from Xtreme mode, and that's because his meteor rain attack, which is normally a rare desperation attack, is now pretty much fucking spammed. Dodging Turtloid's ramming isn't typically a problem. When there's a fucking sea of projectiles flying out while you're trying to dodge? Now that's problematic. His actual desperation attack is for some reason totally pathetic and easy to dodge. Oddly enough, while most bosses become terrifying during the refights, Turtloid becomes sort of easier, since he can't shake you off the walls, so dodging the meteor rain is much less of a coin flip. It is still pretty dangerous though.

Dynamo - Dynamo returns for another underwhelming fight. This is probably the hardest Dynamo fight, which is saying... nothing.

Blaze Heatnix - Hard as hell. Heatnix is a piss baby at the top of the screen, but once he calls the lava from the top and forces you to the bottom, things become hell. Dodging the crescents from the bottom, or his flying at you is never a fun time, you're basically threading through the part of his sprite that conveniently has no hitbox, which is painfully precise. His desperation attack is pretty dangerous too, although in most fights he probably won't get to use it.

Artificial Music - Herbal Tea
iteachvader - Skydiving!
